Bolivia's main archaeological site was the center of the Tiwanakota civilization that spanned from 1500 B.C. until 1000 AD In an area of 30 hectares, it presents a set of Templar remains of this culture, including the Kalasasaya temple, the Puerta del Sol, the semi-subterranean temple with its enigmatic nail heads and the remains of Kantataita, Putuni and Kericala. You can also see the pyramids of Akapana and Pumapunku (only partially discovered and currently under excavation).
